Are you looking for an Engineering Ethics course that's not the same boring topics?  Outlaw Engineers features seven case studies about Professional Engineers and Engineering Firms who made the news by (allegedly) breaking the law and facing the consequences in court.  These cases include political donation schemes, pay-to-play schemes, theft, and even drinking on the job!  Each case is then examined against the NSPE Code of Ethics to highlight what we should do as lawful and ethical engineers to avoid such situations.

This course satisfies one Personal Development Hour (PDH) of Engineering Ethics Continuing Education for the states of Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, District of Columbia, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

    • Automatically times the presentations to ensure that the minimum amount of study time is met

The course was well developed and gave a variety of ethical situations to consider.

I enjoyed the variety of the ethical considerations. I also liked the suggestions given which I found helpful. As an example, it was mentioned that if you are going to be a whistle blower, consult a lawyer first to determine the best plan of action.
